This film is a Noir Revenge Thriller with a super bank robbery opening scene and then
a Nasty tale of revenge. Felt like some sort of hybrid of Bollywood indie and Masala.
There's great acting from most actors and then there's the -
Amazing Nawazuddin Siddiqui. What an outstanding performance he gives us.
He's a lowlife criminal, cheap and vulgar and not just a bankrobber but also a
murderer. Still, at his powerhouse ending, he manages to radiate feelings of tenderness
that you get tears in your Eyes. What an actor he's became.
Not just one of Bollywoods or Indias greatest but surely in the World at the moment.
Huma Qureshi is great as Jhimli, Vinay Pathik also as bankrobber 2, Radhika Apte as the
poor Koko impresses a lot with her vulnerability. Unfortunately maybe Varun Dhawan
seems a bit too stiff in one of the 2 main roles as the avenger Raghu.
His style of acting conflicts with the naturalness of the above mentioned actors, but i
guess he did his best to match them.
And to underscore the Masala element there's a very unsuitable dance number with
Dhawan in the end credits. A Feel Bad tragic ending and then a Masala number?
