Jatt And Juliet Rocks Punjab
29 June 2012

Jatt And Juliet (Punjabi) rocked Punjab as it took a bumper 100% opening. The 15 odd premium multiplexes have not just opened to 100% but are full in advance for the whole day. Multiplexes in Punjab have there best opening ever be it a Punjabi film or Hindi film.

The opening of the film has affected the opening of The Amazing Spiderman in Punjab which opened to average collections in Punjab due to Jatt And Juliet.

Jatt and Juliet also opened well on Delhi though on limited screens. The film is looking at the biggest opening in the history of Punjabi cinema.

Jatt and Juliet took a historic opening in Punjab shattering all records by a distance. The film collected a earth shattering 80 lakhs. The growth in Punjabi films over the last year in terms of opening numbers is 80%. Below are the top opening days in the history of Punjabi cinema

'Jatt And Juliet' Is Biggest All Time Blockbuster Of Punjabi Cinema

Jatt And Juliet has emerged the biggest Punjabi blockbuster ever and has smashed all records for Punjabi films by a distance.

The film held up extremely well on Monday with multiplexes going housefull across Punjab after a bumper weekend. The advances are super strong at all multiplexes for the weekdays and the unprecedented craze of the film is likely to dent collections of Bol Bachchan in Punjab.

Jatt and Juliet will collected around 4.25 crore nett in Punjab in week one which beats the previous record of 2.80 crore by a huge margin and in two weeks it will most probably be the highest grossing Punjabi film of all time.

'Jatt And Juliet' Set To Cross 10 Crore
10 July 2012

'Jatt and Juliet' looks set to become the first Punjabi film ever to cross 10 crore nett business in India. The film is also the first Punjabi film ever to have good collections outside the Punjab circuit in India. Delhi/UP collected 40 lakhs in week one from just 10-12 screens and is likely to add a similar total in week two.

In East Punjab the film collected 4.30 crore nett in week one and 1.50 crore nett plus in its second weekend. The two week total will be in the 6.75-7 crore nett.

Overall it will gross over 9 crore nett in East Punjab and around 1.50 crore nett in Delhi/UP for a lifetime total of around 10.50 crore nett which is just phenomenal for a film released on 100 screens approx.

It has set new business highs in every multiplex of the Punjab state easily beating the figures of Three Idiots, Bodyguard and Dabangg.

'Jatt And Juliet' Continues With Mind Boggling Collections

Jatt and Juliet is doing mind boggling business in East Punjab. It will do around 12 crore nett business in East Punjab which is the third highest total ever in the circuit for any film.

Its just an unbelievable number as the films which grossed more Three Idiots and Bodyguard were released in the whole circuit which includes Haryana and Himachal while Jatt and Juliet was mainly a Punjab release. No Punjabi film till date had even managed to cross the 7 crore nett mark for all India while Jatt And Juliet will do 13.5-14 crore nett.

The film with a cost of 3.50-3.75 crore including p&a will do a distributor share of 6 crore in India and 4 crore Overseas. The business of Jatt and Juliet in India till date is as follows.

The film made with a cost of 3.50-3.75 crore including p&a will do a distributor share of 5.50 crore plus in India and 3.75-4 crore overseas. The business of Jatt and Juliet in India till date is as follows:

East Punjab

Week One - 4.35 crore

Week Two - 3.50 crore

Week Three - 1.70 crore

Week Four - 1.25 crore

TOTAL - 10.80 crore


Delhi/UP

Week One - 46 lakhs

Week Two - 40 lakhs

Week Three - 23 lakhs

Week Four - 18 lakhs

TOTAL - 1.27 crore


ALL INDIA - 12.12 crore
