It might be copy of crazy heart?

At least we will get our good music dose/a couple years :( whether film is FLOP, who cares.

ADA, BLUE, KISNA, YUVRAJ, JHOOT some thing etc etc..but rehman pleases.

Good to see Shami Kapoor:)

Seems another Katrina, non actress entry.

Saw it today.

Can't make up my mind whether I liked it or hated it ??

It's a heavy film. Not every thing is clearly explained, as normal in serious cinema. For example, I really feel embarrassed that I don't know whether it was a happy ending, sad ending or no ending ?? Well, that's what they call Art Cinema.

Ranbir's acting might be great, but you need something more than acting alone. If you like the film, then Ranbir's natural portrayal of a Rockstar sure is a big Plus.

It was nice to seed Shammi Kapoor whose role was as per his health. Ranbir, Fakhiri's imitation of Kashmir Ki Kali song was no where close to Shammi Kapoor-Sharmila original. (Rajiv Kapoor copied Shammi Kapoor exactly, in the 1980s-90s film Aasman).

Film screening was aprox 159 min till the end of end credits.

(As reported in the news some times back, Word Tibet was blurred/ erased out from one of the billboards shown in the film. It can be noticed)

About the Ending: My friend saw it and told me that

she died and saw her during the concert as an angel at the end

Cannot tell if this is correct

Last night I finally saw this film, cliched candy-floss romance seems to build Imtiaz Ali's style, given the track of his last 3 films, including Rockstar(note: I still maintain that Socha Na Tha is his most successful film interms of plot). But, where Imtiaz Ali scores some points in this film is his use of Rahman's adequate-but-not-exceptional-music to add a whole additional layer of feeling to his character Janardan Jakhar's(effectively played by Ranbir Kapoor) romantic longing. Generally speaking, though, I think that this technique is pretty manipulative and, in effect, cheapens the whole experience. However, this film does have it's moments, especially the wonderfully shot song sequence "Nadaan Parindey Ghar Aaja" with Anil Mehta who also deserves some credit for his DP work in the film.

In terms of the romance itself, it wasn't presented as this end-all fatalistic thing, which was sort of refreshing, as well. Ambiguously open endings in romantic movies are starting to seem as cliche as the old happy-ever-after but I think Imtiaz Ali pulled it off quite nicely. There's clearly the possibility of the two getting back together at some point, but, then, they could just as easily not and, either way, you know, the earth's not going to spin off its axis.
