NO ENTRY team's new film THANK YOU seems to be same kind as NO ENTRY.

It started today.

Just saw a news clip AKSHAY with Canadian PM Stephen Harper at SILVERCITY in Brampton (Toronto Suburb). There also was a clip Akshay dancing with PM's wife.

I wonder if it was an official premiere of the film or just that Akshay happened to be in the city and Canada's general elections in full swing ?? Anyway, PM's presence (along with Akshay) must have given the theatre attendance a boost and PM attending a showing where Akshay was present must have given him some publicity too.

Akshay Kumar dedicates 'Thank You' to Canadian Prime Minister
By Guneet Wadera - Filmicafe.com, 9 April, 2011

It was Bollywood's date with politics as Akshay Kumar arrived in Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Conservative Party Campaign bus to premiere his latest offering 'Thank You' in Brampton.

Cop cars, campaign buses and crazy crowds would best describe the atmosphere at the Cineplex Silvercity in Brampton. Punjabi music blared as Kumar stepped out first followed by the Prime Minister of Canada, both greeting and shaking hands with fans both of the politician and star alike.

Akshay was vociferous in his endorsement for Mr. Harper, even dedicating the film to Canada's Prime Minister.

Stephen Harper a movie buff himself was all praises for Kumar, noting Kumar’s good looks saying “my wife says he’s not too hard the eyes.”

“You get to do a lot of great things as prime minister ... but this is the first time I actually got to do one of the things I like doing most, which is to watch movies," said Harper before catching the beginning of the film popcorn in hand with film's star Akshay Kumar.

The highlight of the campaign stop undoubtedly though, was Laureen Harper’s brief Bollywood dance number with Akshay to the popular track 'Pyaar Do Pyaar Lo' from Thank You.

Premiering the film in Brampton is a gesture the Tories are hoping will help them win Greater Toronto Area seats with large Indo-Canadian communities, a riding currently held by Liberal incumbent Ruby Dhalla.

As Bollywood met Politics and politics gave way to Popcorn as moviegoers settled into their seats, Brampton said a definite 'Thank You' for a very filmi Friday afternoon.

Saw it today.

It's not as funny as NO ENTRY.
Comic plot is not as clear cut simple as NO ENTRY, so not sure at times, what's going on except that lies and cat & mouse game going on.
Still, OK for a watch.

Film plot is all set in Toronto and hence has lots of Toronto & Niagara Falls locations.

Why on earth they had to use Jaanbaaz song/ tune and raise Annandji's eyre ?? It could have been any song for that situation.

Audio: There was a clear indication of directional surrounds at times but mostly it was Front channel sound only.

Visuals: Found the film gloss missing ?? Colors seemed washed out ?? Or, may be it was out of focus ??

Film Length: From start to start of end credits it was 136 min. From start to end of end credits should be around 129 min.
