This one I'll take a little issue with. What are we considering as double role? The line is very thinly drawn here!. Here she had a split personality and granted she was going by two different names, however, that was in her mind only, hence the need for exorcism! I'm not sure this can be construed as a double role? :lol:

007, you may be correct as I have not seen the movie Raat Aur Din, but just read about it.

How about Pradeep Kumar in Adaalat?

I think that the only genuine double role that Nargis did was in Anhonee ... not sure if there were any other films with 2 Nargis' on screen.

Also we should add 'Hum Dono' with Dev Anand in a double role.

Orig was Here Comes Mr Jordan released in 1941 (a masterpiece). Heaven Can Wait, made in 1978, kept the same character names but changed the sports activity from Boxing to American Football (not soccer). Jhuk Gaya Aasman was released in 1968, 10 yrs before Warren Betty's Heaven Can Wait.

1943 Heaven Can Wait, as pointed by sknath, has a different storyline/ plot.

BTW, Warren Betty's Heaven Can Wait (1978), a copy not orig, won one oscar and was nominated for many others, including Best Picture. Then, why was it not possible for India to send Black, even if partly a copy of Miracle Worker, for the Oscars ??
