According to this link, this was during Shyama's birthday party in the year 2008.

#DidYouKnow: Hrithik Roshan appeared as a child artist during the song ‘Sheher Mein Charcha Hai’ with #Dharmendra and #HemaMalini in J. Om Prakash’s Aas Paas (1981).

There is a popular song in the film “Pran Jaye Per Vachchan Na Jaye” known as “Chain Se Humko Kabhi”. However, the song wasn’t used in the film and was only carried by the records of the film.
Here is some wonderful consolation. Somebody unearthed a footage of Asha Bhosle (in her younger days) singing the song for a Doordarshan broadcast.

https://youtu.be/QxHmaESjsUc

In my opinion, this footage is more impactful than the film sequence of the song would ever have been.
This song is one of the last songs from the fruitful association between Asha Bhosle and O. P. Nayyar. The duo split up and never teamed up for any film after PJPVNJ.

Vividh Bharati published a 5 part radio interview of Shashikala. I listened to all five parts today.

Quoting my comment that is on this video:-

Quote:
These are the kind of personalities we should revere. She made herself from scratch, she worked very hard. She knew exactly what the word struggle defines. She availed good opportunities, she witnessed failure. She rebranded herself, and she remained faithful to her craft. She proceeded to make more mistakes, and she paid for them very dearly. She picked herself up and entered the groove once again. This is a process that teaches you that nothing loves forever. Fame ends, money gets spent, people leave your side. And hence, her spiritual quest rendered her to try and fulfil her voids. She took up social work and devoted her life to it. And even after this, she continued to witness prosperity, celebration, despair and loss. These were the elements of an 88-year-old life that was powered by will, by humility, and by balance. Nobody lives life as Shashikala did. Rest in peace, you will always be missed.

Unfinished film
Sajan Ki Galiyan

Could not have been any film with more hype than this.
Top Romantic Hero of the mid 60s, Dev Annand
Top Romantic Heroine of the mid 60s, Sadhana
Supposed to be launch pad for Zaheeda (Launched in Gambler, as this film got shelved)
Still the top Music Directors, Shanker Jaikishan
Top Film Director Raj Khosla
Film in Color
And the film Sajan Ki Galiyan
Then what happened that this film never got released (not sure if completed or not) ??

https://shankarjaikishan.wordpress.com/ ... -galiyaan/

I think, the songs that are on youtube are from the film 'FILM HI FILM' Pran's film that encompassed film clips from unfinished films as part of the script. Luckily at least 2 full songs are available.

Tid-Bit:

Was watching an old film on TV broadcast and noticed Hema Malini as just a dancer for one song and a bit of dialog in the first 10 min of film (then she dies). And, the heroine of the film is Aruna Irani. At least I did not know of this fact.

Can you name that film, without help ??

If yes, post reply but keep it hidden (perhaps spoiler button works) to let others reply as well).

(Should not be too difficult as there are only handful of movies with Aruna Irani as heroine).

Ragz, sure you got it.

What I found interesting was that at any time, specially, when Hema already had a few major releases as heroine, Hema Malini got a minuscule role where as Aruna Irani got the lead role.

Another quiz as I found it interesting:

Can you recall

In which film Jeetender and Dimple Kapadia worked together. Dimple trying to seduce Jeetender.

Jeetendra and Dimple Kapadia did a couple of films together - Zakhmi Sher and Aaj Kie Aurat are the ones that come to mind. They also starred in Dil Aashna Hai, but they weren't opposite each other. If you are talking about the seductive song, I guess you are talking about Pataal Bhairavi?
