Sheherzade 1001 Arabian Nights: Catherene Zeta Jones, (Saeed Jaffery??)

Anyone remember this film/ TV series ??

It's Catherene Zeta Jones' first film/ TV series (not counting child roles).
It also has (Saeed Jaffery??) in a substantial role as the Vazir.

There have been a few 1001 Arabian Nights films/ TV series, but I like this one the most. I saw it on TV. Don't remember if it was in one go or was telecast in parts. I even recorded it on VHS once and not sure if I kept it. (Did not think much of it when it aired).

IMDB lists it as 98 min (and so are it's rare DVDs) while I'm sure it was more than 2 hrs when I recorded it (did not fit in one 120 min VHS; not sure if I still have it).

I came across it's Eastern European (perhaps Russian language) TV Series broadcast on Youtube which is 192 min. Even if we account for 10-15 min for repeat credits, this Youtube still is at least 175 min actual feature, aprox 80 min longer than any other listing. One thing for sure, it has a few scenes that I never saw before and they do connect some loose ends in the shorter version.

Seeing the full version on Youtube, I want to get a DVD of this Series. If anyone finds it's DVD, pl post it here.

I did find my own VHS recording of the Yr 2000 broadcast. Pretty good print (as good as it gets for a VHS) and it's full 188-190 min (except for 40-50 sec glitch). And, it's in English. As I found the VHS, I did watch it in full and it's fairly interesting. A modern - ancient British satire - fantasy presentation of 1001 Nights.

It's Catherene Zeta Jones' first film.

CORRECTION: No Saeed Jafery in this film. The Great Vazir that I thought Saeed Jafery played, is credited to Roger Carel. He looks so much like Saeed Jafery ??
