Arsh's set up can successfully process it to give the original 24 film frames per sec as this DVD is Pseudo-progressive.

Also, you get complete Shemaroo Catalog of DVD (87 of them), CDV, and VHS till Jan 2003.

Tere Mere Sapne PQ is better than Saudagar. It is Pseudo-prog. Audio is false DD5.1. 448 kbps wasted instead of 2 CH mono 224kbps. Indian Films were mono in those days.

I think retailers have some good days and some bad days, we all should give them a second chance to prove themselves. Recently I had some miscommunication with IW but they took care of it lightning fast, proving that they are indeed extremely advanced in their field, as far as customer relations goes. This is what one expects from a good retailer, and IW is certainly doing their best to prove that they are the best in the business.

Reading your lots opinions of indiaweekly of late, i decided to email them before i placed the order: heres what i wrote:

Hi, i was about to place an order with yourself, as i find your prices to
be very competitive!
however i am a bit concerned about the shipping quality! i have heard
through a few people that your service is not what it used to be, ever
since a certain Afzal has left your team.
Is this true?
Due to me being in the UK, i must be assured that my products will reach
me in a satisfactory condition, and not take a month to get to me, and not
have to pay silly customs charges.

Can this be assured or will i have to shop elsewhere on line such as
nehaflix.com?

Could you please respond asap?

and heres the reply:

Dear Sunny

Thankyou for contacting IndiaWeekly Customer Service

Somone has misguided you. Afjal is still in our team. Our other staff
members are also very sincere and telented. You first place an order with
us and than see our prompt services.
We assure you that you will be satisfied by our services

So what u guys reckon?

I reckon not if you are looking for fast shipping. Nehaflix is the best choice. Case in point, I made two orders on 2/12 and 2/15, still waiting. An order was also placed with Nehaflix on 2/12 and was received on 2/15. Coupled with the fact I live in the Bronx, NY just about a few hundred miles away it's inconcievable that you will get yours anytime soon. So much for being misguided! :D

De Niro,

just wanted to ask few questions, how soon did you receive this reply for your email inquiry? For the kind of email that you sent, they usually do a lightning response usually by phone.

and Just wondering, did you re-type the response they sent you or it came like that, cause there is quite a number of type-os. you probably can't count on their prompt services, but they used to send items within 2 business days. They used to handle custom charges fairly well. Very seldom it would occur, but according to my last experience, i got custom charge for 2 items and that's cause they failed to declare the items. anyway, just yesterday i got that custom charge re-embursed back to me after filing for it back in october.

and De Niro.. i sure with the response, you sure were misguided, about their prices and their paltu ****. if you haven't placed any order with them, go ahead everything will go fine until they slip in replicated/pirated/used/inferior version of DVD or get custom charge or you were to seek for exchange/return/refund.. things will start to get hectic from that point on.

back to the topic, IW may have increased their prices, but as long as you can find cheaper price elsewhere, they will price-match and give you further 10% discount. I dont see a reason to complain. Current favourites includes some of the shemaroo DVDs, will have them pricematch to NX where many new shemaroo DVDs only for $9.99. good luck!

HI, well they posted a reply the next day!

no i didnt re type it, thats exactly how they sent it to me!

the only reason why i am inclined to buy from them rather than nehaflix is of the shipping.

indiaweekly charge $3.99 to UK, whereas nehaflix charge $9.99!!!

also some of the indiaweekly ones are a bit cheaper.

the title i was gonna order were:

Dil Vil Pyar Vyar
Gardish
Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin
Legend of Bhagat Singh
Aur Pyar Ho Gaya

Does anybody know whether i will get the original ones, if i order these titles from indiaweekly?

Good to hear that Indiaweekly resolved your problem. Due to the snow blizzard last week, UPS and Postal services were closed for 2-3 days here which caused a heavy backlog in their shipment. They had some two thousand pending orders last week but as of now they have cleared all their backlog. That is probably the reason why captainamerica's order was delayed.

He he theon... by the same logic I too work for "indiaweekly".

My order also was delayed... due to the reason mentioned by Satya ! and Yeah Gool 'ol Afzal buzzed in to tell me that , a couple of days ago !

CaptainAmerica, woh Kahawat hai na

"Der aaye durust aaye"... at least better than getting fleeced at your "Other Fav. store" (To boldly go where no DVD customer has gone before :D)

I'm a walkin customer, visit them regularly. Indiaweekly is just 10 minutes from my place.

I got Dil Vil Pyar Vyar and The Legend of Bhagat Singh from IW, and they were both original. I'm in UK, and orders usually take 3 - 4 days to reach me - I haven't had a problem with them so far.

Plus, a quick tip - I price matched for DVPV from Nehaflix - and got it for $5.39 from IW!
