couple of weeks ago i ordered Gardish and i got it safe and sound....no defect this time....shipping & handling was just like they said.....ground will take 5 - 12 business days.....got mine a week after that since i always try to do the lowest shipping...the dvd is 9 somethin and with s & h, came out to be 12 somethin.....somehow i still think, the dvd price is way lower than the other sites, but it does come around their price when u add s & h, unless u buy over 200 or 400 dollars worth stuff u get FREE S & H.....i dont think i have anything to buy at that large but here check this comparison out...i usually buy in grip but this time i did not had that much money so i only got one....no other site have this gardish dvd cheaper also and its very rare....so it was my MAJBOORI (Only choice)....

i am purchasing these dvds from EROS website right....
S H I P P I N G D E T A I L S (USA/Canada 5 and Above FREE)

Raat - $6.99
Vaastav - $9.99
Chalo America - $6.99
Chandini - $10.99
Awaargi - $6.99

TOTAL = $41.95 S&H FREE

IW COST (same brand)

Raat - 14.99
Vaastav - $9.99
Chalo America - $9.99
Chandini - $9.99
Awaargi - $7.99

$52.95 + S&H (REGULAR 5 - 12 days)
DVD/Video..... $1.99 Per Order and $0.99 per item

$52.95 + $14.9

TOTAL = $67.85

i might have calculated the S & H wrong for IW but w/o it still comes out to be more....and i am sure s & h is over 10 bucks when u buy atleast 5 dvds....just for one dvd they charge 2 somethin bucks.....its only around 85 cents to send some one something.....i wouldnt say they are that cheap....like i said in the other posts, when u purchase your dvds, try getting from the original supplier such as EROS/DEI and so on cause when there is a movie release in EROS, IW gets it from them and jack up the price to make profit....see what i mean....take any eros dvd and go to iw and match the price....even if IW comes out to be cheap, with S & H, it comes close i bet....maybe a $1 cheaper....i wouldnt say a dollar is very cheap....so for me, IW is not that cheap...for you, it might be cause you dont want to buy the dvds i want....

Yes, I wasn't impressed with IW's shipping prices, especially since I am in school outside of the states (in west indies, but soon will be back in the states permanently). Maybe when I am back home, I can say that IW is OK for shipping, but now it would cost 10 bucks per order, and i think 2 dollars per dvd! I tried them once because their prices were moderate relative to other sites I had tried (such as Indiaplaza). It took 5 weeks to get my stuff from the day I placed my order. Needless to say, that didn't sit well with me, so the next time I ordered dvds, I tried a different shop (Benson's World), which had free shipping worldwide, and my order took 3 weeks to arrive; a much better value.

it doesnt matter dude if u in state or outside....i am paying around $2.00 for 1 dvd and i am currently in USA.....i understand they have to make profit also, but i think they should make a deal with the customers like other sites do...buy 5 or more dvds, get FREE S & H....then i would say yes IW is the cheapest place to get....but currently for me i only get dvds from there cause the dvds that i want is only available at IW and the price is low ONLY on the DVD....when u add the total, the price comes out close as the other sites....i think IW is mainly meant for buyers who buy in large quantities...ppl who run a store, i think its for them and they make pretty good profit of them....but for customers like us, who just get 1 or 2, we still paying what we pay for a normal dvd when u add their S & H....well i still be shopping up there cause it is so far the best one....hey u know christmas is comming....ppl who are in contact with IW reps. , do u know if they going to have a major sale or a low rate on S & H??? have anyone talked to them about their S & H policy if they can go little lower or make it FREE if u buy 5 or more???? it would be nicer if they did....

Does it still work out cheaper if you use the price match at IW?

Although I've noticed that IW seem to have put their prices up recently

hey shuman....i looked in ebay and the prices are very high....also i want to get NEW sealed movies, not USED....ebay dont have the movies that i want....and whenever i find something i like, they do also charge S & H....hey chebji, whats this bensons world site address??? i want to check that out if they got any :) ....bhaskar, when u add IW's s & h, it almost comes close to the other store....we get really excited when we see their dvd prices....you cant resist the price they have put there, and when u actually try to shop and add the total it comes out a lot with S & H...when u shop anywhere, make sure you do some research...i usually get 3 or 4 other sites when i shop @ a place....i add their total and the site i am about to purchase, and whatever looks cheaper for me, i get it....also try looking at your indian store where you live, and see how much they will sell it for....try to bargain with them...i usually do with my indian store lady and some dvds i get way cheaper than Internet up there...in some places, they dont even charge TAX....so in all, if u want to shop CHEAP, do some research before you go off and start purchasing.... just because u find a site that has dvds low as $2.99, u may want to check the material, the quality, the brand name if its any good...how long they will last and so on....usually there is a catch to it...there is a reason why its so cheap....if u see a dvd that is in SKY brand $2.99, and the same dvd is in EROS brand $6.00....most ppl agree that EROS makes dvds better than SKY....u get the SKY one and i get the EROS one....you might have saved money, but was the dvd worth it as in sound quality, picture quality??? i paid higher than you but atleast i got better picture quality, sound quality and some extra features on it....and even with a nice inlet inside....think about it and try to get the best...

MJ,

Well, here is the site.
Benson's World

They are not exclusively selling Indian dvds, so their selection isn't that large. Check it out if you like.

I have often see some real "Ppz" here complaining about IW's shipping rates overseas... I dont think this should bother or deter ppl abt that ... I remember distinctly that once upon a time the shipping to UK was expensive
.....
Now it has drastically reduced... but compare it with the flip side.. you have 10% off with 300 bucks or more :) and when compared with GBP it comes quite cheap than what you would have to pay in the UK :)

So I wonder why guys here really complain :) ? or is it a case of
Much Ado about nothing :)

Grow up folks ! (as for you guys across the world... once, more folks from there purchase DVds (which thanks to zulm.net and ppl who like good service and quality will indeed happen) then you guys also will get the benefits !

I think some ppl here are foolish enuff not to read the fine print :) *PRICE MATCHING* ( or should I ask them to do that before they place their orders ! ) ?

Cheerz

Master J,

Benson's World does have Indian dvds, but you gotta search for the title I think, or you can look alphabetically. I know because I got the Metrodome version of Asoka, as well as Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Unless they have changed their catalog since April/May of this year..

You seem to be the expert on it SKNath, as you are on most subjects, especially progressive and interlaced DVDs ??? :oo:

So I'm really not in a position to advise - I'll leave that to you.
