I placed an advance order for Monsoon Wedding boxset at

The set was supposed to contain CD and DVD all for £15 and be dispatched on 17/06/02. Today I get an e-mail to say they can't supply (no real reason given - although jokingly they mention they got the price wrong!)
And now they are offering DVD only for £16 inc shipping
Did anyone else get messed around in this manner?
Site now quotes boxset at £22 exc shipping - not available
Can they get away with this after advertsising at a lower price?

Happened to me too! Apparently the boxset is an HMV exclusive only to found in stores :doze: - usually this kind of offers are time limited and should be available to others stores too later on.

Tell them under the sales and goods act they are obliged to supply the goods as described on there site.

We've had a fair bit of feedback about the offer and, well, it wasn't that popular! Although we thought it fair at the time, we now see that many people are rightly still unhappy.

- if you still want the standalone DVD of Monsoon Wedding, you can have a copy for £11 (plus shipping);
- if you don't, for whatever reason, I'll credit your Dividica account with £5 (the difference between our price of £16 and the £11 offer).

Just send reply to this email and tell us what you'd like us to do. If you have already negotiated a deal with us about this, you can choose which deal you want to accept. And there's no time limit on this offer. And, if you can show consequential loss greater than this offer would compensate, let us know and we'll try to come to some other arrangement.

Actually, I just e-mailed them back to say I'm not interested unless they throw in the soundtrack CD too! I couldn't resist, I'm such a desi!
