Actually, i dont think its that bad. It might be useful to UK customers because its the only one sensibly to have a fixed delivery prices. A quick price compare shows thats its pricing is similar to that of indiancdstore.

If it reduced its del to say $6-7 it would be... helpful

the website is ok-ish. the prices are just on the edge for the $5.99- series DVDs.

IW/ICD are way better in terms of the DVD pricing. As for delivery charges, it definitely beats all(almost) online retailers. Then again, i would not pay $5 more for DVDs and save $5 from shipping.

Indian CD Store - Haven't had any problems in terms of custom charges.

India Weekly - Had numbers of times custom charges on DVDs and most of the time IW took the expense on themselves.

Neha isn't even willing to hear about your custom charges, it's not their responsibility.

No returns / No refunds ??? So, you are screwed, you purchased a DVD and learned from zulm that you shouldn't have, you can't return it even though you haven't opened the DVD. That is scary!!!

i remember once i bought ANJAAM (super digital), then when i learn from zulm that i shouldn't have i returned the DVD back to IW and got 100% refund for that dvd. :)

To everyone, check prices at Indian CD Store, India Weekly.. before placing an order with any online retailer. :music:

Site looks OK, and the prices are average. For Us in UK I think IW or cdguru is better.

I suppose if this new site wants to make an impact it should reduce the prices and back it up with good customer service.

looks like if you want one dvd then the auctions are the way to go. k3g starts at 14.99 dutch auction on the website it is 19.99 (22.99 non-sale price - yeah right).

so thats $21 as opposed to $30 if your a UK user. That £14.62... man this makes my head hurt!

Well, they have a free shipping deal on their website, as opposed to the $3 shipping fee for the eBay auctions. I reached their website through one of their auction pages on eBay, and the prices on SOME discs seem to be pretty good and comparable to that of IW and ICD. For example, their Sarfarosh (Eros-DEI) DVD pricing of 7.99 is the same as that of IW and ICD. You actually end up paying more at the latter two stores due to the shipping charges.

The customer service also seems to be good; I got quick replies to two emails I had sent them.

Ended up ordering Dil Chahta Hai and Sarfarosh, for a total of 22.98. Will update you guys regarding the progress of this order.

PS:
1) The DCH DVD shows the cover of the disc made for the UK market (i.e., the one without any problems). For those of you who had to return the faulty disc, this might be a good price to get the corrected one.

2) Long after the DEI-Eros breakup, DVDs branded DEI-Eros seems to be popping up all over the place. IW provides them after showing the Eros/B4U discs on the site, ICD advertises them directly. Now, I have no complaints with regards to the quality of these discs (I have bought these so called "extinct" and "out-of-print" DVDs from both ICD and IW), but IF (and its a big IF) they are pirated, then one starts wondering whether the other stuff that we buy also could be pirated! I mean, admit it, the packaging and cover-art on these discs have been so good that there is no way ordinary people can identify them as pirates. And if thats the case, those DDLJ and DTPH and KHNP discs sitting on u'r shelf might also be "illegitimate" creations...

Something to think about. :plain:

Guys, ICDS is not all that. Twice I have had problems with shipments never arriving from ICDS. IW is really the way to go, IMO.

Received both DVDs today. Sarfarosh was the DEI/Eros version, and Dil Chahta Hai was the corrected version with the blue colored cover (my Panasonic had no problems in playing the DCH disc).

6 days from ordering to receiving the DVDs, pretty good packaging, and to top it, they gave me a coupon for 5 bucks off my next order greater than 40 dollars!

Overall, I'm VERY impressed with these guys!
