http://www.indiaweekly.com is the best indian dvd store on the net. Even with shipping they are easily cheaper than any uk store.

Jolly is the world's most expensive dvd seller (http://www.indiandvdfilms.com). He often logs on as someone callled ranj to praise his own store because nobody else will.

Check the weblinks on the zulm hompage for other DVD retailers, but indiaweekly are in a league of their own.

CDguru provide poor service and charge too much compared to the US sites.

I Live in UK and have bought from IW, indiacdstore.com, cdguru and play247. My advise is keep looking at these sites on a regular basis to get a bargin.
You need to order about 5 dvds form USA to make it worth while.
Cdguru are OK for pricing but they have a bad customer services ( I am waiting for a refund on a CD I bought 2 months ago and have written many emails, but they fail to respond, so beware).

use this link to compare prices

Thanks Kavita and Minesh-:)
I do agree with you having had a look at their website- they are very cheap if you order 4 or 5 only comes to about $3.50 extra per item per their stated price for handling and shipping. Do these US dvds play on region 2 only dvd players or are they region 1 .

Also has anyone got the Videosound version of Fiza- they dont sell the dei version on IW which I have seen- is the video sound one comparable- any good?

Thanks again

I've found IW pricing bit odd. Basically every title you order from the UK you have to add $2 on top, so K3G is in fact $21.99 (instead of $19.99 displayed). Then you add final shipping charge on top at the end which is $5.99 – which is reason on its own. Final total still works than cheaper than most others if you order a couple. One of my friends has used them for a while, he uses them because they deliver fast, faster than other retailers (even those in the UK).

Like I said I have ordered from IW. I have a region 2 player only and so far all the DVD's I have bought play fine.

As to the exchange rate, it is the going rate but email them and they will give you a rough guide, but do not order from Indiaplaza they will rip you off on the exchange rate and I speak from experience.[/B][/U]

IMHO
IW are superb for prices/delivery time to the UK.
i recently puchased 4 DEI DVDs from them and it cost under £30 including p+p.
For the same DVDs from Jolly the price would have been £60.
Nothing more to say!!!

cheers

I think you are right, only people from North America would find Indiaweekly cheaper. I am from canada, and buy from indiaweekly.com, indiancdstore.com.

And as others say you may find their prices low if you buy more than 1 dvd from them. There are many websites that you can try and see what you like the best.

Jolly is the owner of http://www.indiandvdfilms. And He actually did post on this thread right before me.

Here are the other non-indiaweekly website, give them a try and give us your feedback on them. thanks.

http://www.indiaplaza.com (free shipping in usa)
http://www.erosentertainment.com
http://www.sholay.com

http://www.indianfilmsdvd.com
http://www.indiandvdfilms.com (free delivery in uk)

http://www.hindimovies.com (free delivery is usa)
http://www.cdstore.com.pk (free delivery worldwide)
http://www.canadaflix.com

http://www.yashrajfims.com (free delivery usa)

and there is much more.... :music:

i think yashrajfilms.com they also do free shipping in UK as well i think... can't be sure as their website is down right now.

MAAHAYIA U R WRONG TO SAY THIS....LET ME GIVE U A SIMPLE EXAMPLE:

A PERSON LIVING IN THE UK BUYS 4 DVDS FROM INDIA WEEKLY AT LETS SAY APPROX $15 EACH - THAT IS 4 * $15 = $60 [A DVD AT $15 IS MORE OR LESS A BRAN NEW FILM]

ON TOP OF THAT - $6 [ITS ACTUALLY 5.99] IS FOR SHIPPING AND ANOTHER $2 FOR EACH DVD BOUGHT WHICH IS ANOTHER $8

IN TOTAL WE HAVE 60+6+8 = 74.00USD - NOW DIVIDE THAT BY THE XRATE WHICH IS APPROX 1.40000

THIS GIVES US 47.14 GBP [BRITISH POUNDS]

NOW 47.14 DIVIDED BY 4 IS 11.79 POUNDS [TO THE NEAREST PENCE!!] PER DVD!!!

EXPECT DELIVERY WITHIN 4 DAYS!!!

AS SKNATH WOULD SAY JOLLY PLS ADVISE!!!

KAVITA NOW U KNOW FOR A FACT THAT JOLLY/RANJ ARE NOT THE SAME PERSON - SO GO AND L.T.C.!!!

Maahiya whereas a "PIRATED" DEI-EROS title @ IW would cost you anywhere between $5.99 - 8.99 plus the shipping charge (which is 99 cents per DVD )...the same "GENUINE" DVD would cost you anywehere between 14.99 - 16.99 Pounds in any UK store , which a few respectable members here represent !

You have to be really a smart-ass to see who is ripping you off , and who is giving you a G.R.E.A.T deal !

EXPECT DELIVERY WITHIN 4 DAYS!!!

Maybe I am Indeed missing something here ! It should be I suppose (by my poor Math standards) approx 11.8 Pounds per DVD !

ranj,
you should've divided 47.14GBP by 4 to $GBP per DVD. or/and
you should've divided 74.00USD by 4 to $USD per DVD.

i assume you just have typing error and calculation error. but where did you get the figure 52.86 and what does it stand for? (you see, one of your relatives has indicated to me in the past that i am slow. so dont be surprised.)

i think sknath is correct. it comes to be 11.8GBP [18.5USD] per DVD.

Ranj, i know you and jolly aren't the same person, but honestly speaking you both sound like you are related. :music:
