For those in US and maybe in Canada Columbia House is the best place to buy DVDs to increase your English DVD Collection at the lowest average price per DVD which is around $9.00

Check the first 2 threads at http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/forumdispl ... forumid=13 to understand all about ColumbiaHouse. The guys are DVDTalk.com have done incredibly good work for all DVD Collectors.

Well not really...
the trick is as follows :-

Buy all the most expensive priced DVDs with your deal i.e 4 expensive DVDs for 49 cents each and then 1 dvd for 19.95 $

and then buy 2 (or 3) more at regular price and I would suggest go for the least priced ones ( even if they are shit DVds )...

Then just stop ur subscription ... They will bug you to come back etc etc..( after 3 months) and then repeat the process with a new set of DVds !!!

But make sure you cancel ur subscription !

sk, that's what most people think about columbiahouse. But the fact it, it is a heaven for DVD Collectors. First time you want to enroll go to columbiahouse.com and use the code 59P to join. That will give you 5 DVDs for .01 each and you get to buy 6th for $9.95. The trick is that most people think that there are only few DVDs you can get at joining. That's not the case. You can get the title number from DVDTalk.com and enter them directly to your shopping cart. Better yet, call their 800 number and you can get titles like Thunderball, Terminator 2 Special Edition and so many like that. Later, you need to buy 3 more at 19.95 or more to fullfil. Never buy anything more than 19.95 to get the lowest average price/DVD. Also, ever 4 months or so CH runs a FREE Shipping promo when you buy 3 or more DVDs. They have it right now and I managed to open close 14 accounts in the last 2 months as they allow only 2 ACTIVE accounts at a given time per household.

From your 2nd account onwards use the code 7CY to get 5 DVDs for .49 each and 6th for 14.95 and you need to buy just 2 more for 19.95. To be able to use this code you need to have an old Columbia House membership number. This code will get you DVDs at around 9.26 per DVD.

Like the folks at DVDTalk.com say you need a game plan to get the best out of Columbia House.
