I've never used them but people who have had mixed responses. There’s a few threads on thedvdforums. Summary; they charge your credit straight away, delivery can take 5 to 25! days on pre-orders but back ordered stock can take a while longer. And there’s no insurance for lost shipment - if a DVD gets lost in the post (I think they send via Canadian post by default - you can pay extra for Fedex) - then it's not there reasonability.

Other safer and faster option might be http://www.absound.ca/ - who have it for ~£15.50 (35.49 can dollars delivered). I used to use Absound for all R1 DVDs until their hack while back – but they seem to have recovered well from it. And they have Lagaan DVD in stock.

got my Lagaan from DVDImport yesterday. took around a week. I have ordered lots of DVDs from them cos they are always the cheapest for new Reg 1 DVDs (ordering from UK). I do agree that their deliveries can take from a week to a month. However, lately, they seem to have got their act together !!

What ever you do guys don't buy from movietyme , they are so unorganised and the deliveries take ages to get to you.

I have had very bad experiences for the region 1 english movies. I am happy paying 2 quid extra to avoid Craig (the owner of movietyme)

msabri - you might be right! I used to buy loads of DVD from Movietyme while back - then they messed up few orders and half the DVDs didn’t turn up - although I was never charged for them. Never used them since that moment.

Seems like a war is going on between Movietyme and Ringos – who until recently were business partners (Movietyme supplied all R1 DVDs to ringos) – and it’s affecting both of them – service has dropped from both!

Well it’s there available from both – if anyone else has found them reliable, maybe they’ll have better luck than me :music:
