I don't exactly remember, what the review said. My faint memory (and logic) says that there is auto select option in the player. If it has detected weave-able pic @ 24 frames per sec, by whatever method, a neon light indicating "Film" will come on. I think, it also has an over-ride where you can force it to line double using any one of the available routines.

In some line doublers, there is another indicator light which lights up when it encounters PAL's 50 fields coming out of 25 frames per sec source. Some perhaps also have neon indicator, telling which method is in use for line doubling.

BTW, it looks like all new Shemaroo titles are Pseudo-prog. An improvement over field averaged.

yep, sadma is pseudo prog too, but KHKN was fIELD AVERAGED!
