Guys I wanted to share my experience with you here. A member from zulm here, found for me a few copies of a particular DVD that I am looking for. Now Instead of paying him money I offered him something else... that he select a few dvds from (my fav. e-tailer) Indiaweekly (reliable and always the best as mentioned here) and I would foot the bill... and believe me the deal actually worked out ! So Here I am getting those DVDs from him and he will be receiving his dvds !...

Now I am in Canada and he is the USA... but this can work for anyone anywhere in the world (as an example... someone in Australia wants a couple of DVDs...That person can ship some DVDs to his contact using Indiaweekly etc. ) . If you are looking for hard to find DVDs and they are available only in a few nondescrept stores in the USA or Canada, then I would recommend you try out this Barter system ! It really is a viable alternative and involves not having to send any Cash/Cheques etc. !

Okay folks, notwithstanding Faddy's "intelligent" suggestion of using Paypal (with its endless commissions), i would like to inform you that the transaction was successful... His 2 DVDs were shipped from IW and he shipped me the 2 DVDs i had requested for !.. I will post screenshots of the DVD once they arrive here :)

i have yet to pay any commission while using PAYPAL !!!
so whats the story here about paypal & commission ????

I am who Sknath is talking about, and my IW package arrived on the 13th. I assume you got your DVDs on the same day, since the screenshots were up when I checked the forum.

hope i am not going completely out of topic.. but what wiseone referred earlier about the commission is that, the paypal is not all that free as it is to begin with.. i believe after 6 months or so, they start to charge fees for any incoming funds. and fees differ depending on the original source of the funds.. if someone makes payment using their cc, the fee is higher than if one send funds from their paypal balance.

paypal is still preffered by many! :)
