1. I personally subtract '1' whole point for extras not being in HD. Thus effectively, the maximum extras in 'SD' can get is 4.0 out 5.0.
2. The deleted scenes are not optimized for 16:9 screens (aka not anamorphic).
3. The deleted scenes are not even in DD 5.1 sound.
4. The deleted scenes are not sub-titled.
5. The extras are not on a seperate DVD as was the case with the DVD.
6. Numerous errors and also lack of important information on the packaging.
7. Finally, I personally do not care too much for the huge, box packaging which in my opinion is very impractical. The least they could have done is to provide the actual discs in a regular BD case and packed it in the box.

Based solely on the contents and quality of the BD, I have no hesitation in recommending a purchase. But considering the obscenely high price, I hesitate to recommend this blu-ray, atleast not unless you are very very fond of this movie. The value of something varies greatly based on personal needs/wants, thus this is a decision you shall have to make for yourself. For me personally the movie and the total package of this Blu-ray is simply not worth Rs. 1200.

Since this movie came out before bollywood got into releasing blu-ray's I think they can be excused to some extent for not planning for HD home video releases, which is why I reduce only '1' point for extras in SD. But moving forward, atleast with movies that are now being shot, there is no excuse for bollywood not to be shooting their extras in HD and thus I might be inclined to be more critical of SD extras as the Indian blu-ray market matures.

I actually only rented it and did not buy it. I personally think this blu-ray is way over priced and I certainly don't think the movie or the blu-ray package is worth it at this price. I probably would have bought it if it were priced at Rs. 799 - 899 or maybe even Rs. 999, then after a discount of 20% it would have cost me around Rs. 640 - 800. I really don't see myself buying very many titles beyond that price. Indian blu-ray companies really need to learn to price their BDs more apropriately, whereby they would actually sell far more copies and thus make more money.

PS: The rental library got it from their regular BD/DVD supplier.

Watched it last night and am not very happy. The transfer is DNRed and smears regularly when there is motion. Would be much nicer without
the grain filtering. Was is already DNRed in the cinema?
The other point I disliked were the missing subtitles on the supplements.
The film has its moments and Darsheel is a find. Hope he continues acting and stays grounded.
Aamir's comments to the deleted scenes made me laugh because there he sits with his overblown
Ghajini body and in the film he looks nothing like that (thank God). :D
