@Sunny - Ayngaran customer service is pretty pathetic. I had placed the order for Peranmai BD on March 31. Still no sign of the BD. My attempts to reach out them has been unsuccessful. Requested order status update at sales@ayngaran.com, through their website and one charles email you had provided. Nothing so far. This is just ridiculous. These guys sure don't know how to do business. Good BD's, zero customer service. They could be awarded the company with the worst customer service. They do not even update the order status to confirm if the item has been shipped. I am surprised you've survived this long with this company. Totally surprising!!!!!

Sunny - I see Ayngaran released Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya on DVD. Are they planning to release this movie in Blu-Ray as well? If there is a blu-ray release, I will wait for that.

Sunny said in another post that Ayngaran does not hold any rights for Vinnaithaandi Varuvayaa. I think the actual DVD your are talking about is from TSK a French company.

Quesiton for you,

Few suggestions -

1. Is it possible to release BD on par with DVDs? You have released one of movie in BD before DVD. This may be good idea to increase BD sales since BD viewers will definitely watch the movie in BD, otherwise some times if they watched in DVD, they may not interested in BD.

2. If you list upcoming BD / DVD release with approximate expected date, it will be helpful for fans like instead of checking the website every day to see any new disc released.

1. I definitely agree with you either we should see BD and DVD released togather or BDs to be released first to boost sales.

2. please do give us the movies you are working on and when they could be released... will surely help us alot.

Could we also possibly see extra features such as making, behind the scenes, bloopers, deleted scenes etc in future releases?

Can you be more specific? What are the issues? Basically it's no different if you scan for DI or for a HD transfer. The same infrastructure can be used/is used. Are you talking about the problems of scanning edited and to some extent worn our negatives? And the digital restoration necessary? If so, Kabhi Kabhie was digitally restored from the negative, or not? Silsila? What do you know about the upcoming Yash Raj titles? Are they problematic and was the work flow not properly sorted out?
What went wrong with the second batch of Eros BDs? Why do they look so underwhelming?

Indian film negatives are in a bad state, even for recent films! They are badly kept in the Indian labs. You simply cannot digitally restore them. Lots of work will need to go into place for them to look good on blu-ray. I know nothing of Yash Raj or EROS workflow. All I know is that EROS has bad HD tape source - which is why most of thier BD discs sucks.

[b]Why is the Ayan BD PQ so bad. Comparable to EROS BDs. Why the sudden downgrade in PQ. Is it because of API move. Very disappointed:(quote]

@Sunny - My sincere apologies to the above comment I had posted last year, it was not the BD buy my blu ray player. It is definitely fantastic.

None of Ayngaran blu-rays have any watermark - as it goes against everything the format stands for.

^ Nope. They don't have the rights to market it in India. But you can get it through a few online retailers.

Thanks.
