If you liked the movie then definitely buy the bluray. You won't get anything better than this for a long time to come.

I guess were all big fans of the film here. When I saw the very first shot, I was like 'huh?!' the rest look like a big
improvement from the DVD. Worth a buy.

I totally support the point of "big improvement" There cant be a better example than this- Just have a glance here at the dvd versions of one of the blu ray shot in pg.1 - first the shot from the best bootleg which is perhaps the best dvd version of the film yet, followed by the washed out shot killer still from the YRF dvd. The final comparison with the blu ray shot just proves the point right - Its impossible to believe that blu ray and dvd were manufactured by the same company. Further, its very exciting to see how close the Bootleg resembles in colour department with the Blu-Ray. Just Fantastic.

Bootleg ..the best ever yet before blu ray.

YRF DVD - the sh*t that killed the movie.

YRF Blu Ray - the return of the original ddlj color.

For your reference brother, Stephen has aleady given his opinion in another forum at zulm - With due respect my friend stephen, just reproducing your statement below :-

Thankfully, DDLJ is by far the best of the lot. Colours are superb, detail is pleasing, grain is intact. An admirable restoration job. But varying contrast issues are still present for the first hour - similar to Veer-Zaara, but far less noticable. Audio is excellent. However, for the songs, the original soundrack has been replaced by the clearer audio from the CD. This is done seemlessly for the most part, except the first two songs have been encoded at a higher volume than the rest. A minor distraction."
