dvdisiol... you should have written it in ur thread then. I dunno and cant speak Malayalam, but I surely can "understand" what I see :D

no I dont mean the "Raat Ki Raani" stuff... I mean the I.V.Sasi stuff !
Avalude Ravukal
Kinnarathumbikal
Anuvaadamillathe etc.,
Are there any DVD's of his movies ?

Kchan, mainstream bollywood movies are *rap. Its just like 14+ movies here in Canada... Malayalam movies are the real trendsetters.

Other than these movies, the only other Mallu movies I like are the "award" winning ones. Vanaprastham, Shaji Karun's film etc., :D

SO you can say I have likes of two extremes !

WARNING : This has nothing to do with DVDs but I don't know any other place to ask this.

I need to know how to say "good luck" in malayalam (phoneticly of course - it's called Varamozhi I think) ?

The real translation I'm looking for is actually how to translate in malayalam the english expression : "break a leg!"
you know, just before a big exam you say to the person "break a leg" in order to say good luck. Every language I know has an equivalent. What is that equivalent in malayalam if there's one ??

Thanks a lot already :D

---

To make this post more DVD/movie related :

I never saw any malayalam movie, so I wonder which one could be a good choice to start ? I heard that 4 The People wasn't bad !?

I donno abt good luck...we just say good luck or best of luck before the exams.

Start with any of the above...but not 4 the people. Its not that good.

Oh ok, so you just say "good luck".
but I was kinda hoping to get the phonetic translation. How do pronounce/say "good luck" in malayalam ?

like the phonetic translation of "yes" is "Eran" ! (I found that here : http://malayalamdictionary.com/
(unfortunatly "good luck" isn't available)

Good = nalla
Luck = Bhaagyam.

But its wierd to say nalla Bhaagyam. :D
I think a better term is Saubhaagyam.
