I haven't actually seen K3G yet (I plan to soon) - but the review on rediff was interesting but is as I expected. After seeing Mohabbatein and KKHH and even Dil To Paagal Hai I noticed the new trend that YRF (and affiliates aka Yash Johar) have adopted. DDLJ type of formula story line and story telling. So to me there are no surprises that this film has followed the well trodden path of the past few years.
Having been an avid fan of Guru Dutt, Raj Kapoor, Kamal Amrohi and other quality Indian directors I understand what good cinema is. However I also clearly understand that there is a place for family dramas with lots of colours, emotions and music to light up the screen. I take this type of cinema as a particular genre - which some like and some do not - simple!
What I do not like, however, is the number of flaws that were pointed out by the review. That's plainly dumb! Things like that really bug me. I;m rather dissapointed that Karan Johar did not think before including the Aati Kya Khandala song in a scene that was supposed to take place 10 years ago ... and as for nicknaming Kareena 'Poo' - who's smart idea was that?
