Natalie, you have posted quite a few Russian Bollywood films' screen shots, recently. Where are these DVDs available ??
I did pick up 3-4 used Russian DVDs locally (that's all that was avail) some time ago, and the results were mixed. One of those was excellent as it was a NTSC Pseudo-Prog encoding (for a Black and White film) and it did have a Hindi track. (99.9% of Bollywood B/W DVDs are Film-to-pal-to-NTSC Field Averaged). Others were no different than North American version, except that audio was Russian.
Ones that will be of high interest are those that are PAL to NTSC Field Averaged and are PAL in Russian release. If they have Hindi track, that much better, otherwise at least we can have those songs in good quality. (direct Film to PAL is default Progressive).
Do you have access to Russian Mamta DVD ?? It's listed at full 3 hours where as Hindi versions are 120-150 min only. A friend of mine has been looking for one full video song that's only one half a line in Hindi DVD.
Is Ek Hi Bhool Russian DVD PAL or NTSC ?? Does it have Hindi audio or English sub-t ??
Rana, you are mistaken. This topic "Ek Hi Bhool (1981) By Madhu/Bhavana [DVD Shots]" does not say that it is Russian DVD. This dvd foreign (seen on the menu). This movie is in Russia, but released in dvd5: color a little brighter, a little lighter, less clarity.
In Russia, a lot of Indian films released during the USSR (video cut in some movies ) . Issues are different, some films from Russian studios , some compressed original studios (DVD9 -> DVD5), but in two or one language. Now in Russia almost not released Indian movies: basically, it's dvd released earlier that are still available , many Indian films not in Russia , something is not available, this created in Russia Russian website of Indian films , which can download various issues ( movies on Russian and Hindi ) . This dvd9 (Ek Hi Bhool dvd9) I downloaded the Russian site. In Moscow I buy Indian movies in the store
