Here are some of the things i liked about the movie:
* the simplicity of the movie. kicks ass.....
* wicked casts
* lovely music and how it is picturised..
* extraordiany presentation of "love" or "crush"
* excellent direction, editing, screenplay, dialogues are just great.
* sense of humour; watch and find out what i mean!

Here are some of the things i would've changed in the movie:
* there is few technical flaws which shows rough transition in scenes. but only a few.
* this character called "major" that Colnel plays pool with, isn't shown on screen. It got almost a little irritating to see Colnel talks to him while speaking others on screen (almost 5 minutes).. and audience dont even see the shadow of this character.
* i would have credits in english as well as hindi, the movie has only in hindi.

no offence to anyone who have enjoyed this movie. i love to watch movies and love to make such criticism. what i can say, it's a built-in function in me.

Looks like the Shemaroo is better. Shuman, can you tell us if it is pseudo-progressive or PAL to NTSC? Man, I didn't even know you posted these shots! :)

hey dragun,

colorwise and overall, yes shemaroo is better. however yashraj print lacks everthing but sharper print. i'm afraid i am too technical.. all i know it's not progressive as i saw combing effect on "force-weave" mode on powerdvd.

:;):

I got this dvd from india and needless to say far better than the YRF crap. The only thing which I feel bad about this dvd is, Its not a full version as some of the parts are not included like the interaction between the colonel and our hero (when our hero goes to learn love tips) is not shown completely. Except this i found everything good in this dvd. I dont know abt the playing time of yrf and shemaroo though.

'Major' was dead. 'Major' and Ashok Kumar used to play billiards and talk a lot. Since 'Major' was no more there, Ashok Kumar still remembers him and plays with him.

I love the cover and menus of the YRF version. And sharpness too.
