In the movie, "Can't tell you". Telling whether she died or not, may constitute Spoiler for this Romantic mystery.

In real life, as far as I remember, she died of some illness after acting only in a handful of movies??

Her biggest hit was a run away hit and perhaps the biggest Indian Punjabi hit to date, Nanak Naam Jahaaz Hai, that would keep on running and running for Yrs.

Her other films listed @ imdb:

Patanga (1971)
Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai (1969)
Aabroo (1968)
Hamraaz (1967) (as Vimmi)
Guddi (Guest Appearance)

And
Kahin Aar Kahin Paar (Joy Mukherjee and Vimmi) (Vimmi not listed for this film at imdb)

Almost 40 Yrs after her death, this article and other info on internet, all say that her death is still a mystery. As far as I remember, her death was a big news at that time and it was reported that Cancer was the cause of her death. There was no mention of her distressed life, at that time. She still was a well known name.

She sure acted in two of the biggest blockbusters during her short time in Cinema.

1967 Humraaz

1969 Nanak Naam Jahaaz Hai. Punjabi film that created records not broken until recently.

I liked her in her 1971 film Kahin Aar Kahin Paar (with Joy Mukherjee) as well.

What's the run time of Hamraaz and its various DVDs:

1967 film CC has inconsistencies in it's run time. It states 5410 meters, which is 197 min and also says "18 reels, implying 170-180 min (film reels are 10 min each).

YRF DVD is 170 min and if it's 4% time shifted, it'll be 177 min film time.
Shemaroo DVD: 171 min (178 film time).
EREOS/ Esquire VHS is 159 min (166 min film time).

What are the run times on EROS, Moserbaer DVDs ??

I think, DVD run time 171 min (film time 178 min) is the full run time.
