BEI have just acquired the following titles and are expected to release them in the up and coming months....

Gulami (JP Dutta) - A response to the hit DVD Yateem!!
Bhemisal (AB)
Inqalaab (AB & Sirdevi)
Jurmana (AB)

During the Summer BEI hopes to release the following;

Disco Dancer (Mithunda -- This Week)
Parvarish (AB)
Kabhi Naa Kabhi Haan (SRK)
Kaalia (AB)
Soni-Mahiwaal (Sunny Deol)
Professor (Shammi Kapoor)
Narsimaa (Sunny Deol & Om Puri)
Naam (Sanjay Dutt)
Sadma (Hindi Version)
Himmatwala (Jeetendra aka NTR)
Mawali (Jeetendra aka NTR)

Also in the works right now are Junglee, April Fool, Aap Ki Kasam, Aan Milo Sajana and Aaye Milan Ki Bela.

BEI have no plans for new films and from the looks of recent box office collections and poor DVD sales of new titles....I don't blame them!!!

Excellent News. I have been waiting for decent dvds of these movies for a long time. KNKH has 2 shit releases and Kaalia has the crappy bombino release or something.
Where did u get this info from Sunny? I have been writing to the email on the back of their dvds (mailto:info@megapathdsl.net) for some time now and have gotten nowt. The site is for some sort of IP provider.
Cheers

I agree with Faddy............Khatta Meetha was a disappointment............having said that, it's probably the best we'll get.

True...but newer films deserve the DEi treatment more. Look at all the RGV films...Road, Jungle, Company. It's a crime that they are not on a DEi or BEi disc. How sad, it is really a catch 22 situation.

In the VHS days, there never was a decent print of Disco Dancer and Sohni Mahiwal, even by those standards. So, definitely looking forward to these two DVDs.

All other movies mentioned, too are on my wish list.

Any idea if Shammi Kapoor's Raj Kumar and Shashi Kapoor's Pyar Ka Mausam are in the BEI pipeline??

Katha Meeta was in bad shape...but the film is like that for life since the source BEI used was from the original negatives. If the negs are like that then its really not their fault is it? Lets at least them credit for trying to do something decent with it on DVD. If it was another company they would have just gotten a worse off betasp and done a DVD from that!

I guess if the original negatives are like that, then not much could be done........I just don't have much faith in any DVD company any more. DEI started using shitty media, and now even Ayngaran are playing up, releasing Dhool almost two months after they were supposed to, and its not even DTS! So as the Hindi DVD situation stands, its generally gonna be a case of seeing, then buying.

DISC DANCER is still popular and running in theatres.

'Disco Dancer' Mithun a huge hit in far-away Africa.
