How is the DVD quality - same as Gajini?

Also, is it on one disc with DTS?

If it is then its a shame as this film deserves high quality treatment, spread over two discs (to cater its 3 1/2 hour running time) with full bitrate DTS track :)

I recommend this film to all Zulmies!! World class entertainment...

Sunny, you said it right, this is world class "entertainment". I havent seen a movie so entertaining but yet so powerful.

DVD .....

1 Disc with Dolby 5.1, no DTS. Running time is 3 hr 15 minutes (theaterical version also is 3 hr 15 minute where as the original movie was 3 hr 40 minutes!). DVD quality is same as Gajini (:

Even if they had charged $5 more and produced a very good quality, there will be definite takes for this movie.

TT was shot in HD, and it looks like it was framed for 2.40:1. These caps look like an open matte version.

VGP is the world wide copyright holder of this movie, excluding India (copyright by AP intl).

This is the original VGP DVD cover

Lately people are selling pirated DVDs (or what they call malaysian version) DVDs. I found Sanda Kozhi, Dishyum (released only coupleof weeks back in India), Paasa Kiligal etc on these sites.

With these ppl selling new pirated movie, our business is severely impacted :(

What u think, sell those DVDs atleast for less (can sell them between 10 to 12 depends on the movie :)

It is not that he paid less the site anytamil.com says VGP version and sells for $16.99 plus shipping $1.99. I have bought long back from anytamil and have always got only original versions. I thought they did not sell any pirates. DU why have your increased your shipping so much ?? At least have an optionof $1.99 or so for 1 dvd purchase.

Didnt notice that the option was removed (probably during some promotion). Yesteday only we were discussing why people are suddenly preferring priority mail over media/first class and we know the reason why :)

Added the option back again ($2 for 1 DVD and 75 cents for each additional DVD, 25 cents less than what we had before!). Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Watched this movie with subs last night with my mother. Outstanding movie, and definately one you should watch with your parents. No melodrama, just a simple story told in a realistic manner.

The dvd is a single disc with just a dolby digital 5.1 option. Quality is same as Gajini.

While the film is indeed very good, I would disagree with Bludhound in that the film definitely has moments of melodrama and got preachy at times. It could've also done with a trim. But that said, the film is very good.

Did anyone else notice differing aspect ratios during the film? Sometimes, 1.85:1 and sometimes 2.35:1. Also, it seems they used video during the last half hour or so during the movie instead of film. Gave the film a weird, soap-opera look at the end which threw me off a bit.

Anyone know where I can buy this DVD from? Have looked at the usual sites (Nehaflix etc) but can't find it.
