Hungama!! Dekh kar hungama karo!!..

RECOMENDED!!

Clean, situational comedy for FAMILIES!!

Warning**** No SKIN, No Item Numbers, No SEXY BABES/DANCES.

Music...BAD!!IMHO.

PLOT, If u can survive, first half, that moves sop slow and lame!!You will be REWARDED with HILARIOUS moments in SECOND HALF, when Film picks up MOMENTUM!!
with CLIMAX throwing u in FITs!!

First half, I thought, YTGMG was BETTER FILMED!! But YTGMG..POOPED in 2nd Half!!

But, THIS COMEDY of Confusions, picks up pace!!

DIOLOGUES, are not WITTY!! One thing I like about SITUATIONAL COMEDY!! Neeraj Vohra..disappoints here, imho.

ACTING wise, Aftab, Akshay, Paresh Rawal, shoma anand, rajpal yadev, shakti kapoor are all..OK!!

I have seen PARESH RAWAL, better in other films..

Aftab, IMHO, was more impressive in DMH!!

NOW!! RIMI SEN!!

She seems, better performer than BOTH REEMA/RIYA SEN!!
Her DIOLOGUE DELIEVRY is VERY GOOD, while, Both other SEN BABES, STINK, in DIOLOGUE DELIEVRY!!

RIMI SEN does not have SEX APPEAL, SKIN VALUE of RIYA SEN...So, watch with Caution..

OVERALL...RECOMENDED for QUALITY HAPPY VIEWING..My rating..7/10..

IT IS HUNGAMA TIME!!! :D :baaa:

I previously thought Rimi Sen was the same person as Raima/Reema/Rima Sen...which makes me wonder why her name is spelt differently so many times. Or is Raima and Reema Sen two different people?

Just how many Sen daughters are there? I only though there were two!

btw, isn't that Shaan in the 5th pic?

Yup, Shan/Sadhna..live perform a song!!

Rimi Sen is Different and BETTER than all OTHERS, as far ACTING is concerned, being an actress, leaving SUSH aside!!

Total waste of time, some minor points in the movie make you smile but not laugh like Priyadarshans Hera Pheri did. Paresh Rawal (imho) was wasted in this movie and didnt make you laugh in fact his accent was annoying. Akshay Khanna should stick with drama, Aftab get rid of that pathetic devdas beard! The girl was cute though

Raima and Riya are the Sen daughters and sisters. The other 2, Rimi and Reema, are unrelated and just happen to have similar names.

According to IMDB Rimi Sen is Moon Moon Sen's daughter and Suchitra Sen's grandaughter...just like the other 2 Sen's.

http://us.imdb.com/Bio?Sen,%20Rimi

Reema Sen is the one in Hum Ho Gaye Aap Ke...I had thought she was MM Sen's daughter, Riya Sen's sister, they all look so alike!

IMDB has made one of their rare errors. Trust me, Riya and Raima are the sisters. I agree they also look alike along with their names sounding alike. Of course Riya is the hottt one  .

I'm watching Hungama on the TV Asia free preview right now. Wish the DVD had a transfer like this. Is the original Malayalam version on DVD?

Hungama was not a great film and the comedy was not as funny. Low point for Priyadarshan who has not made anything decent since Hera Pheri...even his expensive Lesa Lesa was a dissapointment!!

It was nice to see Shoma Anand in a Hindi film after a long time...I remember her in those social films that were popular in the 80's (e.g Ghar Dhwar), where she always played a recently wedded rich girl who hated her poor in-laws!!!

Thank god they don't make films like that any more...oh wait I forgot about Bhagban!!! Ah merde (as the French say!)

Sunny, yaar!!IMHO, Priya had a great story on hand!! with YRGMG, I cant understand what he mage out of it! It could be a quality comedy, if he has not used SHETTY as HERO, and has extended RAWAL's role throughout!
It had a perfect chance to become a classic like Hrishikesh da, middle class comedies, but Priya was not able to instill, proper dose of comedy, sensitivity, sensibility in that film! It had some very good characters!!

Music was lovable too!! And his filming was very good!

The original malayalam version is not out on dvd. My dad said the orginal movie's name is Poochaku Oru Mookuthi. It came out in late 80's and I'm not sure if Priyadarasan directed the orginal.
