As HW starts releasing films on the HD formats, if Indian companies maintain current quality, the gap between Indian releases and HW releases will be bigger. Hopefully at this point, Eros, YRF, VS, etc. will realize that they have to catch up so their product doesn't look even worse for the comparison.
they won't care when desi's are willing to watch/rent pirated camera print releases. They'd rather ruin their eyes than to complain about a poorly encoded dvd or video. I was watching one dvd recently...it litterally made my eyes shed tears. I watched it because it has a brilliant 1st half.
There are usually some sort of truth in prejudices by reasonable people. In the case of the general Desi population, MANY Prejudices are valid and hold true for a good majority of the population. I'm sure everyone her on zulm have immediate family members that are willing to watch garbage, not neccessarily to save money, but for convenience of availability. after all, rental price for pirated is the same as for original. well, your 100 in 1 dvd's save you money
I'm in disgust of our nations for not controlling piracy. Including foreign countries where they openly allow the distribution of pirated goods. why is it so difficult for them to verify rights holders? after all, these desi mom and pop shops pay taxes from sales (I THINK, that too I doubt) of dvds and what not. US govt is making tax revenue off of pirated indian dvds?? crooked government if you ask me.
