It was a toss-up between "Amelie" and "No Man's Land." Oh well, Ashutosh and Aamir, you made it further than most!

It's an honor just to be nominated, and Aamir and crew should feel proud and continue to strive to meet their goals.

Aamir as far we are all concerned you won the day Lagaan was nominated.
As for 'no mans land' I think it was more of a politically correct decision.
Of coarse I am biased on this matter.

Yes... Aamir and Ashutosh, you had already done us all Indians proud by getting the film nominated. I was hoping that you'd win the statue... but nevertheless... the journey so far has been great.

No Man's Land, as someone pointed out, is all about war and sentiments against war and it just makes more sense to make it win at the moment.

Anyways... Let's hope another nomination does not take as many years as it took between Mother India and Lagaan.

(Salaam Bombay or Monsoon Wedding are not really Bollywood)

That's just pathetic. How many gazillions of pictures of Aamir Khan are on the web? How many milliseconds would it have taken for the journo to look one up and figure out who was who? I am disgusted.

Unless, maybe, the negative got reversed before they loaded the photo? (hopefully?)

No Man's Land director Danis Tanovic watched and loved LAGAAN, and owns its DVD.
