Will Des succeed where Lagaan failed?

Sunish 2 reasons why I dont see that happening.
The reason why LAGAAN made it into the Oscars in the first place was largely due to Aamir Khan.
Secondly the story of a Nuclear Scientist being involved in a déja vu scenario isnt great news for the western audience, esp Americans as they loathe the idea of a third world nation having acquired nuclear capability etc. etc.
This movie may do well in India, provided Aamir acts in the film...otherwise no hope !

To hell with the Oscars!!! Aamir and team are doing good but they should not make the Oscars or any other award be the reason to make a film. That is when you start having pretentious script while Lagaan was done without any expectations. Anyway I am quite pissed off with the Oscars and John Travolta!!!
