Hey folks,

I'm going on vacation soon to Dubai and India, and so I wanted to buy a ton of indian DVDs that I've been saving for...is there a particular format I need to watch out for?

I've been told that depending on the format of the DVD, it may only play in DVD players there, rather than in Canada. Is this the case?

Any help that can be provided would be appreciated!

The DVDs will play in Cananda as long as the DVDs you buy from Dubai are not region locked.

Most Bollywood DVDs are region free..

I go to Dubai often, but haven't picked up any Bollywood DVDs from Dubai mainly because I'm heading to India after Dubai so I just pick up a handful of Shemaroo DVDs. When I browsed the Hollywood DVDs in Dubai did noticed that they were region locked.
