This was one of the very first Indian DVDs I saw and seems to be the only good one from Media Digital. Colors are vibrant, and sharpness is okay, though I suspect it would not look that good on a projection screen. The print has some lagging hairs (the vertical black lines) here and there, and red spots appear on occasion, presumably at the ends of the reels. The disc is single layer single sided. A dual layer disc would have helped alleviate some of the macroblocking which pops up from time to time (see the shot with the dirt and shovel). All shots were taken in force weave, and I saw no combing on the computer when I took the shots. No subtitles are provided and and chapter stops are only for songs. You probably won't run into this DVD, and the DEI disc is probably better anyways.

Sound is 2-channel mono which is of decent quality.

Is the thread title correct or a misprint??

As mentioned above, it's a Media Digital DVD and not a Super Digital??

East or West, DEI Saathi is the best. :D

DEI Saathi is one of their best.

As I undertand, DEI had obtained Saathi rights from Media Digital. This Media Digital DVD is an old old release. DEI Saathi came much later. And so did many other DEI titles originally Media Digital. They were all redone.
