Saw a clip on TV announcing newly released April Fool DVD. Don't know if the clip was from the BEI's newly released April Fool DVD or from BEI-Samraat Songs DVD.

It was Field Averaged.

April Fool songs in BEI-Samraat songs DVD were Field Averaged. Can anyone confirm, whenever you figure out, if the newly released April Fool film DVD is BEI standard new Progressive transfer or the same old lame PAL video made into NTSC DVD.

Just received BEi "April Fool", the quality is not very good, perhaps similar to a Samrat dvd... Screenshots to follow, stay tuned! :D

No sound in the last 15 minutes. Last two shots in forceweave mode. This DVD doesn't seem very "progressive" to me! What do you think, Rana?

Let's hope, April Fool, Disco Dancer and another 2 or 3 film DVDs (field averaged interlaced) are only an exception and not a Norm.

I'm happy with the rest of 300 or so Progressive (Film mode) DVDs from BEI/ DEI. Apart from these 300 BEI/ DEI authored DVDs, only 60 or so Indian Progressive DVDs is all that's avail from all other DVD makers combined.

Times should be changing for the better and not for the worst. Hi Def DVDs are just around the corner. Why are Indian DVDs going backwards?? :(
