I have never seen this film, as it was re-made from one of my fav Tamil films Gokulathil Seethai , which has just release on a decent DVD. I fear that the Hindi version would be extremly bad. While the Hindi soundtrack sounds better it having seven songs and a shorter running time can only mean there is a lack of depth in the screenplay. But I could be worng so someone give me a quick run down on the film, and DVD quality.

I had the misfortune of seeing this film in the cinema. It was the biggest pile of **** that I have ever seen.

The storyline was dis-jointed and performances by everyone in the film were poor and not convincing at all. I especially hated the fact that the story built up to ... nothing.

Had it not been for the fact that the soundtrack was excellent I would have walked out ... ! While watching the film all I could think was that this film was so bad that it must have been made to loose money!

Of course this is only my opinion - maybe someone else enjoyed it.

Surprised that the film was that bad, as the Tamil version (directed by the same director) was quite something and the Bengali actress Suvalakshmi was excellent as an open minded Indian woman. But then I can't see newbie Reema Sen matching with talent like that and the less said about Fardeen Khan the better...(IMHO)

I'll avoid the Hindi version like the plague. Thanks guys :)

Also I will be reviewing tons of films over the coming xmas hols on dvd.reviewer site as I have left my part-time job since it was taking over my full time studies & dvd reviews (something I couldn't let happen). So while trying to find part-time job I will review all of DEI last 15 releases, DDLJ, all of Ayngaran last 10 DVD releases and of course Nayak once I get it cheap off my mate...

I don't know what went wrong with this film...was it the bad actors or equally bad director? the pointless pretentious script?? or Nadeem Shravan??

i think it was a combination of everything.. the actors esp fardeen did not suit his role at all..... reema sen who had a big hit down south with minnale was no good either... funny enough in india many people mistook her to be raima sen moon moon sen;s daughter.... songs were alright but well everything else was messed up... so well apparently after 2 weeks of release the producer sold the film rights to star tv i think who will be airing the film very soon....
