Was looking to pick up some YashRaj dvd titles, but can't find a retailer with the prices lower then the $18-$22 mark, so my question is, are all YashRaj dvd price rigged?

Can anybody recommend a retailer with decent prices for YashRaj titles :ffs:

Well, the retailers themselves buy it for around $18 so they're not going to sell it cheaper to you and take a loss. The DVDs are priced higher from YRF that's why they are expensive. If you want to pay less, your best bet would be pirates.

So far, I have had no luck with YRF pirates. They all were utter crap and on Time Bomb media. Some YRF pirates, were actually copies of some other version. This may be due to the fact that YRF DVDs are copyguarded and hence copying or replicating might be difficult or not possible.

Best bet to get YRF titles cheap (and better quality as well), is to look for them on Shemaroo releases in India. There are quite a few.

P.S.
BTW, some YRF titles are in the $ 10 - $ 15 range. IW has most YRF titles listed around $ 18 (also $ 10 - $ 15 ones) and not $ 22.

I paid only 8 Canadian for Humraaz and Gumrah

Which Hamraaz? Sunil Dutt one?? If so, was the pirate a copy of Shemaroo or YRF??

BTW, Shemaroo Hamraaz has better print and costs only Rs 375 ($ 11 - $ 12 Cdn) official price.

We are on the topic of Yash raj so I would not have posted Humraaz if it was not the Sunil Dutt version and was indeed BR Films Production..I really do not like when some one questions my post for no apparent reason..

Sorry for annoying you.

I just wanted to clarify because you mentioned Humraaz with a 'u' which is the spelling of Bobby Deol's Humraaz. Sunil Dutt one is spelled Hamraaz (Shemaroo DVD).

Anyway, was the pirate a copy of Shemaroo version or YRF version?? Why I ask this is because copyguard in YRF DVDs makes copying a bit difficult.

No, I was not kidding. YRF DVDs are copyguarded (macrovision protected??). Copyguarding works against only those who don't know how to beat it.

It's not too hard to beat Macrovision. The box costs about $99.

rana what i meant to question was "hence copying or replicating might be difficult or not possible."

and i see DragunR2 pointed out one option why i was questioning your remark duplicating is being done on awide spread basis, macrovision blocking is not as effective against dvd rip as oppose to coping to vhs.

monizam east is not always east i think ali pointed out that to you already in a thread you started so give it up ok

I'm not an expert in PC tricks, but I did not succeed in 'Exact Code Transfer' of one or two YRF DVDs that I tried. Copying yes, but no 'Exact Code Transfer'.
