This Ch 4 TV broadcast looks the best. It looks like the same PAL master but look at the difference when PAL source stays PAL and all DVDs of this film that are PAL to NTSC converted field averaged.

Probably the ultra DVD is progressive. When I played the song 'Jane Kya Tune Kahi" parallel to the audio cd version, there's no speed difference. Plus I don't see any combing.

The print appears clear. No fuzziness seen.

But when I play 'Jane Woh Kaise Log The' parallel to the cd version, there is some difference. The audio starts lagging behing.

I'm confused! Help!

I think this is better than the other DVDs. Its quite sharp and probably progressive. (still have to confirm)

According to the dialog, shouldn't the translation be "So you think you should've hugged him" or something??

I don't remember the original dialog, but what they've translated, doesn't really go with it.

Can't say from the screen shot. Except for DEI/ BEI DVDs, none of B/W DVDs are Film to NTSC Progressive and only 1-2% are Film to NTSC (Pseudo Prog) and another 3-4 are direct Film to PAL 'Default Proressive'. Of course, most of the B/W masters are Film to PAL Default Progressive.

That's a compliment. LOL.
Actually, I was still editing my post when you replied already. As you can see, that reply post is much more elaborate now.

Hahaha!
Yes! I realized that you edited it once I posted.

BTW, I don't think this Ultra print is any special. Do you??

I see NO combing, no fieldblend (don't really know what it is  )

Speedup in some parts, not in all. Why??

The audio is quite good!!

Thank goodness everything's BACK TO NORMAL!!!! ;)

I just have a hint that it is caused due to field averaging, when frames mix. I don't know the deeper technical reasons, etc. :)
