I'd like to buy this DVD (Bombay) but I don't know which version is the best ? The one from Eros or the one from Ayngaran ?

(I saw the DVD review of the Eros version. But as the other version has not been tested, I cannot compare.)

It's been a while since I've seen either one of them. But I think Ayngaran version is in 'bombay's Orginal Aspect ratio and the Eros version is cropped. Ayngaran's version colors are little washed out. Eros version has good color saturation.

I have not seen the Eros version, but the Ayngaran version has a fuller aspect ratio and is in the original Tamil, while the Eros version is cropped and dubbed. I posted a review of the Ayngaran version quite some time ago, so you might want to search for that.

Ayngaran version has correct colouring and grading supervised by Ratnam himself, while the EROS/DEI is wrongly graded. Also close to OAR and in Original language.

But EROS/DEI has better DVD encoding.
