Yaaron I have not been able to visit our Zulmi hangout since the 10th and the reason for which is that on the 11th morning at approx 6:30AM IST, I had 2 severe heart attacks in a span of about 15 min and then a 3rd and final massive attack just as I was rushed by my brother and a cousin to the closest hospital to my house (luckily it's a pretty decent one). The third attack was a near fatal one which knocked me unconcsious for the next 6-7 hrs or so. The fortunate part was that at the time of the third attack I was already on a stretcher being rushed into the Intensive Care Unit and the hospital staff and doctors did a wonderful job in providing me the speediest and best medical care as required. After spending 2 days in the ICU where my condition was first stabilized and then monitored, on Monday they performed an Angiography on me and the results showed that all three of my major coronory arteries had blockages over 90% and the cardiologist recommended that the only solution was a Triple Bypass Surgery and that too at the earliest.

Once it was clear that surgery had to be done, my family decided to move me the same day to the Escorts Heart Institute & Research Center, which is arguably the best Heart hospital in India. Also contacts were used to ensure that only Dr. Naresh Trehan the head surgeon at Escorts and also the best in the country would himself do the surgery, which is something he rarely does although he does supervise the other surgeries. Anyhow, the surgery finally took place on the 17th and was obviously succesful since I am here today :) I was discharged and allowed to go home on the 24th evening the day before Diwali.

So Zulmi's I am back, although I wont be on the net as much for atleast 4 to 6 weeks as per doctors instructions. The road to recovery is quite tedious and long (total of 3-4 months) but by God's grace I am still alive or as my mom say's I am now on my second life.

I just thought that I'd share this with my Zulmi friends those of whom may have wondered about my absence on the board and specially for those who have PMed and or emailed me during my absence and have not gotten any reply from me. Sorry guys, but now you know why I could not reply.

Damn, it feels good to be back to Zulm and the same old crappy Indian DVDs. Somethings will never change it seems. :D

Glad to hear from you again Sanjay. 3 heart attacks! :nervous: It’s scary just thinking about it. Good to hear you’re in good hands and recovering, all the best wishes and get well soon.

Advice: don't watch Boom in your condition, it's not good for the heart :oo:  - and lay of the DVDs too not good for the eyes… :wotever:

Ali

Wishing you a speedy recovery and healthy life from here on. Three heart attacks in such a short span, for sure is very scary. From now on, you must take good care of your health.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes and welcome back, it is really heart warming to know you have friends who care, friends who may have never even met each other but with whom we share this bond called Zulm.net

Faddy, actually as far as I was concerned it was more of a painful (extremely) rather than scary experience. But ofcourse for the family it was the other way around.

Ali yaar, Boom to lagta hai meri kismat mein waise hi nahi hai dekhne ko, because are regular supplier did not get it from the US and Shemaroo has yet to release their version here.

PagalChand, you are absolutely right in saying that, by the grace of God I really do have a wonderful family who handled things marvelously and no one could have done any more than they did. I would specially like to mention my wife, Shruti, who being so young, she is quite a few years younger than I am, handled the whole episode so bravely. Dealing with the fear of losing me and at the same time running around organizing things that too with a 2 year old son to take care of at the same time, could not be easy. You are right, I am truly blessed. :)

Asif yaar, I am only 39, which is the good and the bad thing. Bad simply because obviously I have not led a very disciplined life for this to have happened to me but good because since I am young my recovery ought to be that much easier and faster.

Arsh mian aap jaise doston ki duaon ka hi phal to bhog rahe hain hum, aur tabhi hum aaj yahan hai nahi to kya pata 'Kal Ho Na Ho' :D

By the way guys, my advice to one and all, quit smoking yaar it ain't doing you any good and also please control your diet and last but not the least, get your ass up from your computers and go get some excercise. :D

By the way if your wondering how come I am back so soon online on Zulm, considering what I said earlier about the Doctors instructions, simple answer yaar. Dil Maange More, kya kare raha nahi gaya and my curiousity to read your responses to my post got the better of me. :bash:
