BFI restored print contains only the real film/ stills shot during their 1924 Everest expedition. One may find this film boring but is excellent if you want to watch real archieve footage of the real life in the Himalayas in the 1920s and the 1924 expedition. No drama, just the actual footage (no spoken words).

Not in the film but, with the discovery of the climber Malory's dead body in 1999 and other belongings, it strengthens the inconclusive claim that Mallory had reached the summit in 1924 and died on the way back.
