Sony/Columbia Tri-Star own the DVD rights to Internationally known "Apu Trilogy" by Satyajit Ray. Information below is ripped from http://207.136.67.23/film/Reviews/apu_trilogy.htm

Columbia/Tri-Star has a number of covetable Satyajit Ray films, including Pather Panchali, Aparajito, Apur Sansar, Charulata, Devi, The Middleman, The Big City, and Jalsaghar, which have been restored by the Merchant/Ivory Foundation. One can only hope that Sony will, one day, see the light and release Ray's films on DVD

Criterion would be great but it will put these classic's out of price range for many since Criterion DVD's are usually around $30-40 range. I will take columbia if ever they decide to release these titles.
