Not only does the film look amazing in the promos but the soundtrack, just released by TIPS Music, is simply an awe to listen to. It sounds a little off-key on your first listen but you gradually begin to love the songs (as it is with all Rahman soundtracks). It certianly (IMHO) is a cut above Lagaan and Alay Payuthey! A must for all Indian film soundtrack lovers. Get before other copy the tunes. I can see many remixes of these tracks being used in the underground Tamil clubs @ UK & New York!

Incidentally has any one heard Dj Kumar new remix pirate album "Blingin & Blazin" with tracks from the soundtrack RED & Alii Arjuna mixed with So Solid & Timberland tunes = It heavy!

Yeah, I'm liking the album, despite listening to crappy real audio at raaga.com

I dunno if it's as good as AP or Lagaan though. IMO, the MSV song,Vidai Kodu Engal Naadae, is a dud.. terrible singing ruined it for me. But anyway, that may change when I get the CD (or decent mp3s!)

As long as we're on the topic, is Ayngaran gonna release the DVD?

The DVD will come out after five months of the cinema release, and yes Ayngaran own rights to this film worldwide (excluding India). This is one film I will be seeing on cinema as I expect the widescreen visuals to be breathtaking as they are on the TV promos.

Just listened to the title tracks. Sounds pretty good!

I just downloaded the soundtrack. It's very good! I'll buy the CD or cassette this weekend.
