It was a One hour documentry, professionally made. It was a National Film Board (Canada) presentation.

Expected stuff. Film shootings, Clips, Hoardings, Crowds etc. Of course, Amitabh was caught by the camera as well.

I watched it for about 20 min or so but did record all of it it on VHS. TVO also has a sales dept to sell any of their broadcast programs. But, there is no need to buy it. It sure will be broadcast again. I too, can make you a copy and send it to you if you give me the address via zulm pvt messenger.

Man i liked one comment

"...NRI's if they can get over the accent ...but they dont quite feel Indian enuff :D "

Do you guys actually Like Ruby Bhatia ?.... I thought Mahima was much better when she was VJ !

And cant these desi gals come on screen without the nauseating HIGHLIGHTs :oh: (or is that a technique to look different)

Bollywood Bound had an interesting concept but the execution wasn't quite successful. I like the idea of following some Indian-Canadians who want to make it in Bollywood, but the Ruby Bhatia footage wasn't needed. I think if the filmmakers had stuck to the main stories it would have been a little tighter. FYI, watch out for Tamil actor Shaam (12B) in one scene taking place at a fight school.

Thanks for the information rana--I finally managed to catch its full duration this time and liked its overall presentation very much. I'll be sure to record it next time if it ever airs again.

Bollywood Bound must have been produced on a shoe string budget and it really was a documentary. National Fiulm Board of Canada had a hand in it. It must have been produced under a program similar to what was being advertized yesterday on TV. NFB will be giving out 5 grants of $200,000 each, to people of color, for any film/ TV related production (It used to be $150,000). The only requirement, to be considered, is to have an experience of at least one production in any capacity (editor, cinematographer, recording artist, actor, director, lyricist, may be even a clap board operator). Obviously, the grant is avail to Canadians or residents of Canada only.

The 5 projects selected, will be given an air time on National TV.
