I just saw this film on cinema, and I have to say the film was brill. I can see this one being re-made for the Hindi market in no time. Kamal Hassan performance was first class (as always) and even surpasses last year's dark film Alaa Vahndaan (Abhay).
The sub-plot about a watch stiched up in a patient's belly might seem too far fetched, but this film really handles it with humor and at times wonderful sentiments.
Once again Kamal dons on wonderful make up and a very retro Y2K hair style. (He looks so different in each film!)
The only negative thing about the film was the awful songs by Deva, but the film leaves a satisfying audience enjoying it and having a ball of a time.
A great way to open Indian cinema for the year 2002!
Can't wait until Ayngaran bring this title to DVD (apr 2002), its one all fans of Indian comedy should have in thier collection!
