Madhuri in Mira Nair's Bollywood Film



Rumours are surely to be believed coz the last time we met Mira Nair in Mumbai in her rented suite at hotel Sun N Sand she was all enthu to make a typical Bollywood film. When we asked to throw some names – the first name that was heard from the lady was Madhuri Dixit. The latest buzz is that Madhuri has accepted director Nair’s forthcoming Bollywood movie. And why not since Mira is the hottest choice of all the directors we have.

Madhuri is reported to have accepted to star in Nair's next project, a typical Hindi mainstream film with lots of melodious songs and dances.

In the wake of the critical and popular success of Monsoon Wedding, Mira Nair has won many fans in mainstream Bollywood. One of them is the magnificent Madhuri Dixit herself.

Also, we hear that Nair is in negotiation with Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshaye Khanna to star in the same.

We will cross our fingers for that and also for the forthcoming Golden Globe Awards where Monsoon Wedding has been nominated.

I don't think its true at all. Well with the exception of Madhuri, Mira Nair has shown much interest to work with her in many interviews. The reason why I don't think the entire cast is true is because, after Lagaan was chosen to represent India at the Oscars, Mira Nair made comments about lagaan and how it will not succeed unless it lobby's its way up at the Oscars, and she felt that Monsoon Wedding had a better chances of getting nominated. And this really offended Aamir Khan and made him upset with her. So after that, I don't think Aamir Khan would work with Mira Nair.

And I don't think it's true because why would Mira Nair stay at the Sun 'n Sand, aka Suicide, Hotel!!!!!!

Bleh! WHat a haunted, creepy place!

Mira Nair should do some other project other then a bollywood musical (we are getting to much of them). But if she wants music then she should hire either A.R.Rahman, Ranjit Barot, Harris Jayaraj or Yuvan Shankar Raja who are the only music directors to have cross bred east and west music in Indian films sucessfully (IMHO).
