The logo can actually be removed. The logo is stored on a subtitle track that is non-removable. However I have a DVD player that can disable that mode and I can view the films without any logos :)

But on ordinary DVD players you cannot. Still at least the logo isn't on the actual picture.

I'm not sure if the logo is there throughout - just had a quick look at the DVD. Regardless of whether it can be removed or not, it shouldn't be there. :ffs:

Sunny, I don't get what you mean by at least the logo isn't on the actual picture :hmm:

What I mean is that if the picture was encoded in the same file of the film then it would be non-removable. However it is not encoded with the pic so it can be removed with the right hardware.

I think after the Eros squashed DVDs (like Aks) this must be the second most pathetic thing I’ve seen done to an Indian DVD. Where does this mentality come from that placing forced logos during the film somehow increases their profile? Such a pity since Ayngaran DVDs otherwise wipes the floor with most other Indian DVD labels.

On these screenshots, I see what looks like pixellation and jagged edges:

Pixellation and jaggies on the black tank tops

Pixellation of the face of the girl in the middle

The effect is really all over the frames, but these spots are where it is pretty noticeable. I think I noticed a similar effect on the Run screenshots, even though they were not this big.

If these screenshots show what's on the disc then we have lost
half of the resolution on this DVD. It looks like deleted scenes from
a Hollwyood DVD that were taken from a half resolution master used for editing the film on video, but never properly prepared for release on DVD. Maybe a side effect of adding that logo of theirs.
Definitely a no buy DVD if that's how it looks. On the other hand
the screenshots are not 720*480 but bigger so it's probably just
bad upsampling by the software used to take them. All screenshots
published on zulm should be direct digital pixel to pixel dumps only
and not be processed in any way beyond MPEG decoding and good JPEG compression. It's the only way to be sure you see the
quality of the DVD and nothing else.

Arsh miyan, I'm disappointed in you.....hamaare mehenat ke inaam kisi aur ko?!??!

As for the screenshots, I took them in the way I normally take them - the setting should be the same as the rest of the ones I've posted.
