Avoid this DVD for 2 reasons...

1.) The disc in this batch is faulty and just refuses to play on my DVD rom. I had to make a playlist of the files from PowerDVD and then it plays. It also doesnt play on my Laptop Toshiba DVD rom, nor does it play on a Sony DVD player...
It however plays on my JVC XV-502SL player :oh:

2.) It is interlaced and this goes to show that Media Dimensions is a real W****R when it comes to DVD authoring (just as they have been screwing up all the recent dvds). This is not pseudo progressive in any way..and has 30 frames per second..(most likely from a Film->PAL->NTSC conversion )

3.) Believe it or not, the audio bitrate is a mere 96Kbps DD 2.0 :D

So going by all this information my reco would be to avoid this DVd...

sknath, please add a shot or two in auto select. It may not be as bad as it seems from the above shots. Assuming Interlaced DVD, it may still be better than current releases??

I understand, new batches of this DVD are avail now. As I said in another post, may be the problem is fixed in the new batch??

Rana as I have been constantly stressing, If you were to watch this on ur computer screen in an auto-select mode you would get flickering ( due to the so called double-image effect).. as shown below... or if you were watching this in a force-weaved mode, you would get combing artifacts... The only way you can avoid this is if you have a DVD that is progressively encoded
