Interesting, but manipulative. By comparing actors with
dozens of films with newcomers with a handful (and denying
HR his two superhits by removing the first and last film)
and comparing apples with oranges (strictly commercial
films and main lead roles with art house oriented fare
and supporting roles) you don't get conclusive results.

Not only is the article very manipulative, it is also a load of crap. The fact is that Amitabh Bachan has probably been the best box office draw Indian cinema has ever had. As far as current times are concerned, Shahrukh Khan is most definately the biggest draw at the box office. Having a a box office draw only means being able to pull in a good initial and not neccesarily guarantee the success of the movie. Actually the fact today is that no one can guarantee the success of a film. Infact nothing can assure that, not even being a good or bad film, since the success of Indian films in my opinion have no corelation to how good or bad they are.
