As Mother India and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham has just been released in theater all across France. (Btw it's going very well at the box office. In other words: it's a success...)
Therefore, there will be a French DVD release of those 2 films in December 04.
Mother India will be released in a collector's edition 2 DVD. And there'll be a 4 DVD pack including: Mother India (2DVD) + K3G (2DVD)
It seems that K3G will be available only in the pack, not alone.

Those DVD will be made by Carlotta Films (as the company is the distributor of those films in French theaters.)

Release date of this 4 DVD BOLLYWOOD PACK (like they call it) : 6 December 2004

I expect the quality to be very similar to Devdas Diaphana edition.

imho they choose December because Kal Ho Naa Ho will be released in French theater for Christmas.

Yes : Bollywood is for the moment a fashion thing in France…

Quality deserves all the support. I got 2 Diaphana Devdas and my in-laws ordered another 2 in UK. The same will be in the case of Mother India, K3G, KHNH etc.

Even though DEI/ BEI Mother India and YRF K3G are exceptionally good DVDs, restored Mothered India (film print) DVD and a new edition of K3G will be eagerly awaited.

I just wish they make a bit easier to order those DVDs by letting us use English Language for ordering these.

It's not so easy. The thing is that those editions (Devdas Diaphana and this next Carlotta edition) are targeted for French audience and aren't supposed to be sold in other countries. That's also why the French subtitles on Devdas Diaphana are not removable, to disuade the none French persons.
I'm 70% sure that this 4 DVD pack will also have unremovable subs...

IMHO, DEVDAS was a different story, due to EROS ABYSMAL DVD SHIT!

K3G is one of the BEST HINDI DVD done by HINDI COMPANY! IMHO, Only advantage to cyrrent SD 2 Disc edition, I see, is, based upon length, they should divide film onto 2 Discs like LAGAAN! and also give u guys FULL BIT DTS(but mind u, DD on SD DVD is not NAIVE).

DEVDAS FRENCH, imho, is plagued by OVERSATURATED colors and LOW BIT RATE! especially during motion scenes.

Mother India, from RESTORED PRINT/REMASTERED, WITH EXTRAS, on 2 disc, remastered like CASA BLANCA will be way to go!!

but NO MEHBOOB KHAN, NO NARGIS, no rajinder kumar!!SADLY!

Actually it is more because they've always done it (unremovable subs) so they did it with Devdas. They don't think further.
But there's a lot of others companies. That's why I said that I was only 70% sure that this new pack will have unremovalbe subs. As I don't know that company maybe the subs will be removalbe.

Not all French dvds of Indian dvds have unremovable subs...
And if you have ahacked dvd player then you can remove your subs as it i snot burnt into the film (as the subs do not play on the french dubbed version).

Right, I've always wanted to know how to do that : hacking a dvd player ? Is it complicate ?

And yes, not all French dvds of Indian films have unremovable subs. I just prefer to warn you than surprise you. Some here were surprised to discover that Devdas Diaphana have unremovalbe subs.

Even with the un-removable sub-titles, DIAPHANA DEVDAS is a bliss as compared to the best from EROS, EROS-DEVDAS.

It is noteworthy that EROS/ Indianwatchdog called EROS DEVDAS as their Best DVD. Indian Standard??

How much visitors for K3G in France?
It's not difficult to have a hacked player.
See http://www.dvdupgrades.ch for example.
