There is a free showing of Umrao Jaan at the Midlands Art Centre at 6.30pm on Saturday 16th November - for more details go to http://www.film-tv-festival.org.uk.

I'm thinking of skipping lectures to catch Teesri Manzil on the big screen.......

Good idea...this Vijay Anand classic is a true blue entertainer....I remember I had skipped classes to catch similarly when it was re-released several years ago.....

Nasir Hussain's eye for recreating night clubs is incredible (though it was Vijay Anand's baby he as the producer had a lot of creative input).

You watch 'O Haseena Zulfon Waali' on the big screen and you will realise why 'Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar' did not even come close....Vijay Anand really had a way with musicals...similarly if you have not seen 'Jewel Thief' already, then that is absolutely recommended watching....
