KHOOBSURAT (1980) - A dazzling award-winning performance by Rekha in this evergreen comedy, directed by Hrishikesh Mukerjee.

The DVD is released by DEI, but I can't find any review on it. A previous thread describes it as one the most perfect transfer by DEI. But I'm only partly convinced...

The picture and sound quality is excellent, but the print shakes or jumps (up and down / in vertical direction) throughout the film to the point that its distracting. Is it just my copy or is there a definite image steadiness problem with this DVD?

Is it possible for other members to review their copy and comment on this?

Thanks

Thanxs for the reply.

Even if the disc I have is inferior/copied/faulty, I wonder if its possible for a dvd to have specific problems like image steadiness compared with a perfect/original copy which doesn't.... The dvd I have is perfect in all other respects!

Or maybe I'm just paying too much attention and nobody else has even noticed it....

But thanxs for the overwhelming response from the forum! :D

I haven't seen this disc, but it sounds like a print problem that is likely to be on all copies.

Same problem here. Looks like a problem with the original print.

Have not seeen the dvd recently. But remembered it crystal clear, especially in the beginning of the movie, it will give you a headache. throughout the movie, it would come and go - but not as bad as the first 5 minute of the movie.

I noticed that issue with most of the hrishikesh mukherjee movies. At one point, i thought it was done intentionally. but not a dvd issue, it's the print.
